THIS year’s Scotland Ladies Development Squad had a promising showing at the annual University 7s in Edinburgh. Facing tough competition throughout the day the girls certainly proved they are strong enough and skillful enough to compete with the University teams. The development squad is in its second year and included all homegrown girls from clubs in Scotland who have graduated through the underage ranks of Scottish football. While some of the girls also play for their adult teams, this development squad gives them a chance to increase their game time and further hone their skills.

The girls secured two wins from four—one against Heriott Watt and the other against Dundee but fell short against strong Stirling and QMU squads. The girls will now compete in Division 2 of the Scotland University League. The future is certainly bright!
