OVER the Easter weekend, representatives of the 1916 Rising Centenary Committee (Scotland) visited the graves of some of the Republican soldiers of the Scottish Brigade, IRA, in Glasgow and the west of Scotland.
Floral tributes and Easter lilies were placed on the graves of the following Volunteers: Patrick James McGuire (above), who fought in the Easter Rising, Dennis Canning, who took part in the 1867 Rising, Liam Gribben, Frank Kelly, Sarah Kelly (nee Thomas) of the Anne Devlin Branch of Cumann na mBan, Michael O’Hara, Charles Diamond, Charles Clifford and Reverend Canon Patrick Torley, Chaplain to the 5th Battalion, 1st Scottish Brigade and President of Sinn Féin, Scottish Executive.
