DESPITE the limitations brought on by the lockdown, Tír Conaill Harps have continued their exciting preparations for the future by announcing three new coaching appointments to their Ladies Team.

Club PRO, Paul Doogan (above) has been appointed Ladies Team Manager, while Kevin Maher and Aidan Main—son of long-serving Harps coach Tommy—will also serve as part of that management team.

“We are extremely pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Doogan as our new Ladies Team Manager,” a Harps spokesperson said. “Paul has come through our youth system as a player, progressed onto our Senior Men’s team and, in recent years, has volunteered as an underage coach in the club.

“It is a natural progression now for a man who has worked hard in his coaching development in the last few years, and we are excited to see that coaching development continue with the Ladies Team, once we are allowed to get back training and play matches.

“The second member of the Ladies’ management team is Kevin Maher. Kevin’s previous experience coaching ladies’ football will be essential for the growth of the club.

“The third member of the Ladies’ management team is Aidan Main. Aidan has been outstanding for the Club since his return to Scotland. His work in Glasgow primary schools has promoted the game at grassroots level and he has been doing exceptional working to develop our underage players. We are delighted that he has took on this role.

“It’s exciting times ahead for Tír Conaill Harps as we continue to grow as a club. We wish Paul, Kevin, Aidan and our new Ladies Team all the very best for the year ahead.”
