A LANDSCAPE designer wants to see the Gorbals Viaduct—one of the last, remaining structures surviving from the days when Gorbals was the traditional home of a large Irish, immigrant community—redesigned as an urban park.

A NEW book entitled Glasgow Corporation Transport and the Donegal Connection by regular contributor to The Irish Voice, Hugh Dougherty, was launched recently in the County Museum in Letterkenny.

LIKE the Emerald Isle, Edinburgh is a very green place. Though this is on the more local scale of a city, just how many green spaces and gardening initiatives, both large and small are present within the city has always impressed me. Scotland as a whole, like Ireland, also has a rich botanical cultural history.
