THIS has been a memorable season for Edinburgh football, with Hearts deservedly gaining all of the plaudits for their valiant title challenge, yet it’s almost easy to forget that when the campaign began, Hibs were in the limelight, having done superbly well in the previous season and then performing heroics well above their station in the European qualifiers.

HIBS enter the Christmas period of fixtures in fifth place in the league, curiously sitting 12 points above the relegation play-off spot and eight points off second place, so, literally anything could become of the Hibees’ 2025/26 league campaign.

A NEW season is about to get underway for Edinburgh’s Green and White, and I, like every other Hibs fan on the planet, wait with bated breath to see if the team can carry on the momentum from last season’s largely excellent campaign.

THE curtain has come down on a remarkable season at Easter Road, the 24/25 campaign having been somewhat Jekyll and Hyde for Hibernian.
