Malones Edinburgh featured in Guinness Harp Guide

MALONES Edinburgh was thrilled recently to have been included in Guinness’s first ever Harp Guide.

The recently launched 2026 edition outlines the best pubs in Britain to enjoy a pint of the black stuff. The guide highlights 35 pubs in total from across the UK, and Malones is extremely proud to be one of three venues in Scotland that Guinness has identified as pouring the perfect pint.

Malones is the only pub in Edinburgh to appear in the guide, showing the bar's commitment to ensuring correct cellar conditions, glassware procedures and thorough staff training.

As an authentic, Irish-owned pub, Malones (above) embodies the five values that Guinness say are at the heart of each pub in the guide: quality pours, a welcoming atmosphere, strong community, great service and a genuine love of Guinness.

"It's a real honour for Malones to be featured in the first Guinness Harp Guide," Malones General Manager, Francesca Benham said. "We put a lot of effort into making sure every pint is spot on, so it's great to see that being recognised by Guinness themselves. We're proud to fly the flag for Edinburgh and look forward to welcoming anyone who fancies a proper Guinness."

Malones also recently had success at the 2025 SLTN awards, winning the Best Venue to Watch the Match award. This win further reflects the friendly, lively atmosphere that can be found at the popular Haymarket sports bar and live music venue.

The Harp Guide also acts as a travel guide for Guinness lovers, with each pub on the list deemed worthy of travelling to for a great pint. The team at Malones are looking forward to welcoming visitors from near and far in the new year, as the guide proves once and for all that if you’re in search of the perfect pint of Guinness, you’ll find it at Malones Edinburgh.
