ONE of Ireland's leading folk and ballad singers, Myles Gaffney, will perform his debut Scottish gig at Grace's Irish Centre on Friday April 10.
The award-winning songwriter—who is also a three-time Grammy nominee—will take his '10 Years of Songs' tour to Glasgow, performing many Irish favourites along with original songs written and collected by Myles (above) from his unique arsenal of music and songs.
Coming off the back from his recent appearance at Celtic Park Myles said: "The one song I'm really looking forward to playing at Grace's is my song Paddy Joe Hill. I wrote that song in Glasgow at The Miscarriage of Justice Organisation office just off the Gallowgate with Paddy personally, so the song has a special connection to Glasgow. Of course I will have Back Home In Derry , Viva la Quinte Brigada and many many more to play on the night."
Myles' shows are renowned for his passion and high energy on stage as he takes the audience on a journey through Ireland's history via song and stories. He has written and performed songs from every aspect of Irish society from 1798 to the present day.
Tickets are on sale priced at £10, from Eventbrite, Grace's or on the door.
Myles will be on stage from 9pm.
